The contest’s topic is “Green,” and towards sustainable development. The competition emphasizes students’ CREATIVITY in problem-solving or developing innovative ideas within the chosen sub-categories:
1) Green for Yourself
2) Green for your Home
3) Green for your Communities.
IUFT students took part in the camp with the topic of “Utilizes wasted fruit into pectin and for other purposes” under the concept “Green for your Communities.” To address the issue of a lack of pectin supply in Vietnam, the project intends to collect, sort, concentrate, and process all leftover fruit into pectin. The team suggests producing a more affordable supply of pectin than is supplied abroad by trying to take advantage of the enormous amount of fruit wasted and thrown away every day. Additionally, the extra fruit that cannot be converted into pectin can be used in farming and industry.
