"Progress in Biomedical Engineering"
Welcome to the 5th International Conference on Biomedical Engineering in Vietnam. Following the last four successful International Conferences in 2005, 2007, 2010 and 2012, we organize the Fifth International Conference on the Development of Biomedical Engineering in Vietnam from June 16-18, 2014 in Ho Chi Minh City. Progress in biomedical engineering has never been more rapid and exciting than it is today. This coming conference reflects the progress of Biomedical Engineering in Vietnam and elsewhere. It constitutes a platform to spearhead the efforts to stimulate third world countries to make progress in this emerging field.
Biomedical Engineering in Vietnam is a fast growing field. We have received steady collaborations of our international peers who help us to build up our activities. Therefore, this international conference aims to bring together researchers and scientists of advanced and emerging countries to discuss problems and solutions, to identify new challenges, and to shape future directions for research in biomedical engineering fields including medical instrumentation, bioinformatics, biomechanics, medical imaging, drug delivery therapy, regenerative medicine and entrepreneurship in medical devices. The oral and poster presentations will be accompanied by tutorial sessions and round table discussions regrouping international scientists in emerging fields including lab-on-a-chip, point-of-care, functional near infrared spectroscopy, computational medicine, brain-computer interface and more. We offer special conference rates to student participants to encourage them to learn of new progress and present their accomplishments. Besides the scientific sessions we also organize social events and sightseeing tours to allow our international guests and family members to visit our beautiful country/region and explore our culture.
We are looking forward to receiving your papers for presentation and proposals for new topics, endorsements and sponsorships. Accepted papers will be published by Springer in the IFMBE Proceedings Series.

INVITATION
We are inviting you to be part of this conference to present your latest results and to set a direction to further the development of biomedical engineering in Vietnam. You can give a talk, initiate a special interest session and/or organize a tutorial session on a special topic to improve knowledge in this field or to help people of different background to convert into Biomedical Engineering. We solicit all interdisciplinary works, which links life and health sciences to engineering and basic sciences, and covers from molecular to upper levels and from methodology to instrumentation.
The official language is English.
